Introduction
Search Signal is a subsidiary of Hello Support. Hello Support is the parent company responsible for operations, billing, and payment processing. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Search Signal, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the service, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account data. Name, email address, workspace name, and authentication identifiers provided through Google when you sign in.
- Usage data. Workspace-scoped activity needed to operate the product, including tasks you create, settings you configure, and pages you visit inside the dashboard.
- Analytics. Aggregated, non-identifying metrics about how the product is used so we can improve it.
How we use information
We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve the service; to keep your account secure; to communicate about your workspace; and to comply with legal obligations. We do not use your data to train external models without your explicit consent.
Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share information only with service providers acting on our behalf, with Hello Support for the purposes described above, or when required by law. Where data is processed by a sub-processor, that processor is contractually bound to handle it consistently with this policy.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your active workspace. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Browser controls let you block or clear cookies; doing so may affect how the service works.
On our public marketing pages we also use Microsoft Clarity, a behavioral analytics tool, to understand how visitors use those pages so we can improve them. Clarity captures session recordings (replays of on-page interactions such as mouse movement, clicks, scrolling, and navigation) and aggregates them into heatmaps. Form field contents — including any website address, search term, name, email address, phone number, scheduling detail, or message you type — are masked before capture and are not uploaded to Microsoft Clarity. Clarity loads only after you affirmatively accept it through our cookie consent banner; if you decline, Clarity is never loaded and nothing is collected. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Privacy Choices” link in our footer (declining stops collection and clears Clarity’s cookies), or through your browser’s privacy controls. Search Signal does not intentionally send names, email addresses, phone numbers, or form-field contents to Clarity; Microsoft may process technical and usage data, including device and session identifiers, page URLs, on-page interactions, and IP-based location. Clarity is provided by Microsoft and processes this data under Microsoft’s privacy terms; see Microsoft’s Privacy Statement.
Microsoft retains Clarity data on its own schedule: session-playback data is generally kept for 30 days, while heatmap and click data and any labeled or favorited sessions may be kept for up to 9 months. For current details, see Microsoft’s Clarity documentation.
Data security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of an incident affecting your data, we will notify you and take appropriate action.
Third-party services
- Google. Sign-in is handled through Google OAuth. Search Signal requests read-only access to your Google Search Console data and uses that access only to populate your workspace dashboard. We do not modify your Google account or your site.
- Stripe. Payments, where applicable, are processed by Stripe on behalf of Hello Support. Search Signal does not store full payment card numbers; payment data is handled by Stripe under their own terms and security practices.
- Microsoft Clarity. On our public marketing pages, we use Microsoft Clarity for behavioral analytics (heatmaps and aggregate session insight) to improve those pages. Form inputs and sensitive content are masked. Search Signal does not intentionally send names, email addresses, phone numbers, or form-field contents to Clarity; Microsoft may process technical and usage data, including device and session identifiers, page URLs, interactions, and IP-based location. Clarity processes this data under Microsoft’s own terms.
All charges related to Search Signal will appear under “Hello Support” on your billing statement.
User rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact Hello Support at the address below. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on this page with an updated effective date, and where appropriate we will provide additional notice.
